Yin Yoga
A slower, floor-based practice using longer-held postures to create time and space to explore the body without rushing through movement.
Less about achieving a pose. More about noticing what happens when we stay.

About
I’m a yoga teacher and wellness enthusiast with a corporate background in finance. I understand what it’s like to balance work, family, responsibilities and the endless noise around what we’re apparently supposed to be doing for our health.
My approach to wellness is simpler. I believe movement should support the life you’re living — not become another thing you’re trying to perfect. And as our lives and bodies change, I believe our practices should be allowed to change with them.
My work combines Yin Yoga, mobility, mindfulness and meditation to create opportunities to move, slow down, pay attention and reconnect.
No chasing the body you had ten years ago. No pressure to become a new version of yourself. Just learning how to work with the one you’re living in today.
The Approach
The way we moved in our twenties and thirties doesn’t necessarily need to be the way we move forever.
Bodies change. Priorities change. Energy changes. Recovery changes. Life changes.
That doesn’t mean becoming less active or less capable. It can simply mean becoming more considered about how we move.
There is value in strength and challenge. There is also value in mobility, stillness, recovery and learning to listen. This is where my approach lives.
Not doing less. Moving differently.

The Practices
A slower, floor-based practice using longer-held postures to create time and space to explore the body without rushing through movement.
Less about achieving a pose. More about noticing what happens when we stay.
Movement for the life you actually want to live. Mobility isn't about becoming extraordinarily flexible.
It's about maintaining comfortable, usable movement through the body so we can continue doing the things we enjoy.
Move well now. Keep moving later.
Most of us spend a huge amount of our lives switched on. Mindfulness creates small opportunities to do the opposite.
Simple practices centred around awareness, attention and becoming more present in the life you're already living.
Meditation without the pressure to completely empty your mind or become a different person.
Accessible guided practices designed to create moments of quiet, reflection and reconnection.
Sometimes five minutes is enough.

The body you’re in now
Not the body you had ten years ago. Not the body you’re comparing yourself with. Not the body an algorithm is telling you to optimise. The one you’re living in today.
The goal isn’t to stop challenging ourselves as we get older. It’s to become more curious about what challenge, movement, rest and recovery look like now.
Because longevity isn’t only about adding years to life. It’s about continuing to participate in it.

North Node Notes
North Node Notes is where I write about yoga, movement, wellness culture and all the things we’re apparently supposed to be optimising.
Sometimes evidence-informed. Sometimes opinionated. Usually somewhere in the middle.
